Client: Fondazione Mente
Io Sono Te is an exhibition hosted at Fondazione Sozzani and stems from Vanessa's personal experience, the founder of Fondazione Mente and mother of Leone. The foundation was established by Manuele D'Oppido and Vanessa Bozzacchi, who, driven by their experience with Leone, became aware of the significant gaps and lacks existing for children and young people with neural developmental disorders. The foundation’s aim is creating adequate, functional learning and entertaining spaces for those affected with neural developmental disorders, with particular attention to the autistic spectrum and supporting their families.

LDF Studio has orchestrated an event with the aim of raising awareness among the public about autism and promoting the Fondazione Mente. To fully immerse the audience in the world of families dealing with autism, we’ve crafted a multi-layered visual experience comprising photographs, flags, a book, and a short film. This diverse array of visual elements allowed us to offer the audience a palpable and authentic encounter, aiding them in comprehending the intricacies and daily hurdles faced by these families.
The exhibition delved into the themes of autism and inclusion through a collective and harmonious narrative: two hundred phrases were gathered from the audience, representing two hundred distinct perspectives on the topic.
Our objective was to give life to these thoughts not only on paper and not merely in a traditional manner, thus honoring their diversity. The layouts draw inspiration from the concrete poetry of the 1960s, where form and content were intimately entwined, crafting meaning not just through words but also through their typographical presentation. Similar to how typography follows a non-linear path, autism demonstrates that there exists a different approach to perceiving and interpreting reality, one that is essential to comprehend and embrace.
The design further reflects our intention to challenge the reader, immersing them in a reading experience that demands a heightened level of attention and engagement compared to traditional texts.
